The existance of ancient religions and customs along with artificial inteligence is very interesting. I can't imagine the caste system still in place in india 37 years from now. Especially with the addition of an AI caste.
I also think of our society and dualism. Countries such as China are certainly technologically dual. They have grass hut villages just outside of super advanced cities like beijing. What aspects of the U.S. are dualistic?

There are Amish communities that are relatively close to technologically advanced cities, so I reckon that could an instance of dualism in the U.S. However, I imagine the circumstance is somewhat different because the Amish have the opportunity to use technology and choose not to, while other communities, such as the grass hut villages in China, may not have the same opportunities.
ReplyDeleteThis mix of impoverished society with cutting-edge technology is pretty much the situation India is facing today. They have an over populated sub-continent that can not even provide running water for all of its inhabitants today, but at the same time they strive to become a new educational and technological hub.
ReplyDeleteYou could say that major cities like New York or Los Angeles has this because there are neighborhoods that are so impoverished that they don't even get running water or electricity while two blocks down there's an Apple Store or Starbucks.
