Craters
Did anyone else get a chilling wind blow upon their necks as they read this story? It's scary in that it could be happening now and we have no idea it is. Yet at the same time, the heavy reliance on the current political/ideological situation makes this story seem less science-fiction oriented than the others.

I agree. I think this story is very loosely science fiction. Maybe it would have been science fiction 15 years ago? but I guess thats how science fiction works a lot of the time. Sometimes science fiction from twenty years ago is just fiction now.

ReplyDeleteYea, this story freaked me out. It's really disturbing to think about someone doing that to a child. And the fact that it sounds plausible makes it worse. I could see this happening in 10 or 20 years.
ReplyDeleteThe story definitely freaked me out. The author did do a great job of making it sound like this process could easily be happening now or somewhere in the near future. using children as weapons already occurs but this would be taking it to a new unimaginable level.
